Get that locally roasted taste without leaving home. Blue Velvet is yet another of our most popular organic concoctions that our loyal fans have been slurping for years. A not-too-dark French Roast Blend – in a re-sealable bag! African and Indonesian – fine coffees with uncommon flavors – captured and subtly massaged into a sultry fullness by the higher roasting temperature (or a higher power, we’re not sure which). Dark and softer than satin—with just a hint of the bittersweet to light up the darkness, like light from the evening stars. Surely, Mr. Vinton would agree!

Directions

Extracting ALL the good flavor consistently requires a bit of up front planning, but then you’ll be good to go for every pot, every day. 1) Know how much water you use to brew a pot. 2) Measure your beans into the grinder and grind them all, leaving no leftover ground coffee to get stale. Use about 1/4 cup of beans for a pint, 1/2 cup for each quart of water – a tad more or less to taste. 3) Grind to a size that corresponds to your brewing time – large/coarse for a brew time over 5 minutes, finer for shorter times.
